Local Green Students Not Afraid to Get their Hands Dirty

One thing is for sure, students in the Local Green civic engagement project are not afraid to get their hands dirty!

 

On September 22nd, students went to Brier's Mill Run in Riverdale, Maryland to remove trash and debris that pollute the nearby streams. This project was arranged through the Anacostia Watershed Society, one of Local Green’s community partners.

 

Government of Panama and TWC Sign Agreement

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars (TWC) celebrated its new partnership with Panama’s National Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Innovation on March 5, 2012. Also known as the U.S.-Panama Innovation & Competitiveness Initiative, the partnership will enable Panamanian students to come to Washington, D.C. and participate in unique and transformational opportunities.
