TWC's InternsROCK! was featured in "D.C. businesses to offer discounts to interns," an online Washington Business Journal article by Adriana Scott. The article features TWC's President, Mike Smith, who discussed 'the thousands of hardworking interns' that the initiative has targeted since its launch in 2010.

Over 250 interns from all over Washington, D.C. attended the first ever InternsROCK! kickoff at the Gallery Place Chinatown Mall.  The event lasted from 5-7 p.m. and featured some of the InternsROCK! businesses and retailers participating in the city-wide intern appreciation week from June 8-17th.

TWC welcomed nearly 550 new interns to Washington, D.C. during their two-day summer orientation on May 24th and 25th. The first day kicked off with the interns being formally introduced to their TWC program advisors and participating in program activities. There are more than 9 programs offered by TWC, catering to interns from all backgrounds and majors. Interns ended their first day of orientation with ice cream socials taking place at four summer housing locations.
