Fifteen students in the Veterans Civic Engagement Project volunteered as course marshals in a ten-mile race in Reston, Virginia on March 3rd to support Team Red, White & Blue (RWB), which seeks to reintegrate veterans into society through physical and social activities.
TWC recently hosted the Lobbyists, Legislators and Policy-Makers event as part of the Political Leadership Program Symposium. Both the Political Leadership and Córdova Congressional Program interns attended this event and were exposed to different opportunities in the policy and lobbying fields.
The TWC Boston Alumni Regional Community is proud to host its fifth annual Red Sox game outing. Celebrate summer with your fellow TWC alumni while watching the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees.
We will kickoff with an alumni networking reception prior to the game at the Baseball Tavern rooftop deck, where you will enjoy great views of the Fenway Park and the beautiful Boston skyline. Bring along your appetite, business cards, and, most importantly, your TWC spirit!

Last week, TWC held the Spring 2013 Roundtable on Civil Society and Social Responsibility. Spring interns had the opportunity to hear from a wonderful keynote speaker and 5 professionals who came from a diversity of backgrounds and represent a number of major corporations and foundations. This particular event is held each semester with the intent of familiarizing interns with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunities.

On Tuesday, March 19, 2013, TWC student Ward Westray of Drake University met with Rep. Keith Ellison in the congressman's office in Rayburn House Office Building and spoke with him on the following topics:
On Thursday, March 21, 2013, seven students from Massachusetts sat down with Rep. Jim McGovern in his suite in the Rayburn House Office Building. The students were Brendon Grabowski, Elyse Sutkus, Andrew Wood, Lauryn Weaver, Gina Sheehan, Dorinda Abrafi, and Jesse Simonson.
Prudential students from Brazil, China, Japan, India, South Korea, and Taiwan gathered at the Prudential Washington, D.C. Office to meet with top-level officials.
This event is a chance for current TWC students to discuss politics amongst themselves in a casual setting. This event will start at 6:00 PM but students can come whenever they are able to and do not have to stay the whole time. If you would like to attend this event, please click on the RSVP button below. TWC actively works with its alumni to provide students with a series of opportunities to learn about different industries during a special lunch series. Whitmer and Worrall, LLC hosted the most recent lunch event.
