Academic Program Advisor, Business and Global Trade

Job Description

The Academic Program Advisor is a key role for delivering on The Washington Center (TWC)’s promise to students to provide them with a transformational experience – setting them on a course of achievement, leadership and civic responsibility. In this role, the Academic Program Advisors are responsible for working directly with college and university students to provide excellent customer service, supervision, and advisement through the leadership forum curriculum and internship experience.

 

Carmenchu Mendiola-Fernández, M.A.

Vice President, CommunicationsCarmenchu Mendiola-Fernández has more than 13 years of experience in corporate identity, brand management, strategic marketing and online strategy. She manages The Washington Center's institutional brand, and assists TWC's leadership in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for a diverse group of audiences. She is also responsible for managing TWC's PR/Media efforts, the institutional website, and social media presence.

 

Program Advisor, Summer Transportation Internship Program for Diverse Groups (STIPDG)

Job Description

The Program Advisor for Federal Programs is a temporary summer contract position responsible for managing numerous federal internship programs while working directly with college and university students to provide an excellent internship experience in their particular field. The ideal start date for the position is April 1, and will run through August 30, 2013.

Job Description

The Washington Center-Elon University Law School Legal Externship Consortium is seeking adjunct faculty to teach evening courses to law students from Elon and a number of other law schools beginning in January 2013 and continuing through the academic year. The courses would complement the legal experience in Washington, D.C. TWC has a potential need in the following particular areas, as well as others:

Kelly Eaton is The Washington Center's Chief Academic Officer. She oversees The Washington Center's curriculum and program performance. She is also the lead representative to the academic community.
