The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars

This year, the Washington Center continued its tradition of delivering a combination of high-caliber academic programming, internship placements, and hands-on civic experiences. Thanks to the support of our education partners and allied organizations across the country, we succeeded not only in expanding the reach of our programs to serve a more diverse and international student population, but also in creating richer and more robust educational experiences.

What’s behind our logo?

Washington, the man and the place, represents the outcomes we seek to foster in our students: civic engagement, leadership and professional achievement. Our symbol is more than a portrait of a legendary leader. In its larger renderings, the “Washington mosaic” represents the idea of a union. It reminds us that enduring achievements are the result of leadership that binds together diverse individuals in uncommon purpose.
