Celeste Regan, M.B.A.
Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administration
Celeste Regan joined The Washington Center as its Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administration in August 2014. Celeste will work with staff and oversee the organization’s planning, accounting and financial reporting, treasury and investment management, insurance and office administration. She also will serve as a liaison to the Board of Trustees’ Finance and Audit committees.
Celeste brings more than 25 years of experience as a financial executive for a variety of domestic and international organizations. In addition to working in public accounting for the National Park Foundation and the International Food Policy Research Institute, Celeste has a history in higher education. She worked in budget and audit at the University of Pittsburgh, as the CFO for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and as a consulting CFO for College Summit.
Celeste earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Delaware and her M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. As part of her ongoing Civic Engagement activities, Celeste serves on as treasurer for the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay.
Celeste and her husband, Sam Smith, have two children and live in Washington.
