Adjunct Faculty Positions

Job Description
The Washington Center is seeking potential adjunct faculty to teach evening courses beginning Summer 2012. TWC offers academic courses to complement an academic semester built around an internship experience in Washington, D.C. Typically, courses are appropriate for elective credit outside or within the major in such areas as social sciences, the arts, business, public administration, communications, and international affairs. TWC has potential need in the following particular areas, as well as others:
- Issues in Science Policy
- Law and Ethics in Mass Communication
- Topics in Criminology
- National Security/Intelligence Policy
Courses meet once a week (Monday through Thursday) for three hours for fifteen weeks during the semesters and for ten weeks during the Summer and quarters. Classes are generally 12-18 students and consist of mostly junior and senior level college students, both domestic and international.
Education and Experience
Required qualifications include an earned doctorate, with teaching experience at the college level highly preferred.
